"Herp"
“Herp” is a vernacular term for reptiles and amphibians. It is derived from the old term “herpetile”, with roots back to Linnaeus’ classification of animals in which he grouped reptiles & amphibians together in the same class.

So, I wasn’t sure exactly what was going on tonight between my plans and my boyfriends plans, so after I finished working I texted him saying I was done, and he stated he was at home… I went inside, his bedroom light was on, and I went upstairs and knocked on his door, and there was no answer, so I texted him asking if he wanted me to come to his apartment, or go to mine? No response....
